Congratulations to Aiden Farmayan (5th) and Lillian Salem (K) for their entries in the Texas PTA Environmental Awareness contest. Their entries will both be judged at the Council Level sometime in April!
About the Environmental Awareness Program
The Texas PTA’s Environmental Awareness Program is similar to Reflections and intended to expose families to the benefits of nature education, open green-space, and conservation.
The theme for the 2009-2010 Environmental Awareness program is “100 Years From Now...”.
Each entry is judged on whether it effectively conveys the theme, communicates a message that inspires the public to care about the environment, meets the criteria of the individual category, and demonstrates creativity appropriate for the grade and age level of the entrant.
